Eight candidates have made it on to the ballot paper in the contest to be the next Conservative party leader, ahead of the first round of voting among Tory MPs on Wednesday.
Sir Graham Brady, chair of the 1922 committee of backbench MPs, announced the candidates for the first round of voting are: former equalities minister Kemi Badenoch, attorney-general Suella Braverman, ex-health secretary Jeremy Hunt, trade minister Penny Mordaunt, former chancellor Rishi Sunak, foreign secretary Liz Truss, foreign affairs select committee chair Tom Tugendhat and chancellor Nadhim Zahawi.
The first round of shortlisting will take place among Tory MPs on Wednesday, with another round due on Thursday. Candidates are required to receive 30 nominations to participate in the second round.
