When you have a meta pattern and you understand it – you know that certain spikes are irrelevant or you need to see a bigger difference or variance due to the meta pattern.
Take for example the daily meta pattern of stocks where there is more volume at the beginning and end of the day – just having more volume at the beginning does not mean a stock will break out because of this meta pattern.
